Awards, Presents, and Promotion often time becomes a very intricate topic to ponder on. Be it in school, work, or clubs.
In my view, Awards are more of Personal Achievements while Presents are more of 'well done/congratulations' and Promotions are more of Practices.
Awards
You are awarded when you achieve something more than you had previously or among the immediate crowd. In school, when you do well, you are awarded certs. At work, you are awarded bonuses when you and your accompany goes through a very healthy financial period. At clubs you are awarded your badges after doing well in various course works.
In this sense, club does not refer to those entertainment clubs.
Presents
Presents are presented to one when skills are used to acomplished a task/mission/race/competition/etc. In my view, it's basically just using the skills/knowledge which you have already acquired.
Presents for the definition above does not refer to birthday presents
Promotions
Perhaps the most interesting part on this post for many would be on Promotion. As i've stated above, Promotion is a Practice. How would or do I judge a Promotion? You would first of all have to understand that a Promotion could be given to and taken back at anytime. Unlike Award, Promotion is an on-going thing whereas Award is based mainly on the past. Secondly, one would need to understand what the Practice is. Lead the team, serve the students, generate funds, etc. Note that it is never called a Practice if it causes excess harm/damage/de-moralize and certainly making un-reasonable use of people or resources. If you've got the 2 points right, I would say that the only difference between you and another person would be the believe and confidence one have for ones' self.
